Leipzig Tourismus und Marketing GmbH (LTM) is responsible for the tourism, location and local business marketing of the city of Leipzig and the surrounding region. Social media offers an enormous economic potential for the company, since it can draw attention to the city as well as to the region in an easy and inexpensive manner and can also promote it touristically and economically. Through Social Media, LTM can reach many of its multipliers and target audiences. However, it is a challenge to keep all the channels continuously in view. The complete acquisition of the actual dissemination of their corporate content on the web as well as customer and user interests goes with a lot of effort. Our “TIQ Social Observer”, which is based on QlikView® and QVSource, is performing a social media monitoring and analytics, in which the Facebook and Twitter accounts as well as the company’s YouTube channel are being analyzed. In this way the latest information about own activities and respective user responses are ensured. Operational evaluations, such as “When are users active” or “Which are my top posts” are being available through this application. Long-term analyses, such as the development of actions and reactions over time, are also included. Thus, the opinion about the company as well as respective key issues are noticeable. TIQ Solutions guarantees a solution constantly based on the customer’s needs through regular joint workshops with LTM. With the use of “TIQ Social Observer” thematic analyses of these platforms will be carried out from now on. In addition to statistical analyses, the opinion on a specific topic is being collected and edited. “GAparazzo”, a solution developed by TIQ Solutions, was also implemented. This analysis tool monitors the blog of LTM. Due to “GAparazzo” it is possible to evaluate hits on the blog and to analyse visitor trends of the page in that way. With these applications, the company can determine the needs of the target audiences and then review and adjust its marketing efforts. Thanks to regular monitoring of the social media activities on the internet, critical issues can be quickly identified and be handled appropriately to avoid crises. Because of these applications, LTM is capable to analyze and evaluate their activities. The analysis software used so far also had formatting problems, unsatisfactory analysis capabilities and a time-consuming report generating. The management as well as the controlling of the Karosseriewerke Dresden wanted to have access to the real-time data of the production control system, in order to have better options to respond to changes and to be able to perform a better scheduling. To organize and manage the IT processes, the IT infrastructure library (ITIL) served as a model. ITIL describes the necessary parts of the IT service life cycle, from strategy up to operation and an ongoing improvement. As part of the “service operation” process, i.e. the operation, T-Systems took over the role of the support in the field of Business Intelligence (BI) for Europe’s largest automobile manufacturer. According to contractual requirements a process to describe the ITIL oriented approach was established. This includes incident, problem, known error and change management. To capture the process quality and the compliance with the SLAs (Service Level Agreements) and to take responsibility for it towards the automobile manufacturer, a corresponding monitoring solution is necessary. When the project started, some measuring points did already exist rudimentary, but did not allow an interactive and overarching analysis in fields mentioned. For this reason, an appropriate solution was developed, implemented and taken into operation in cooperation with TIQ Solutions.[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title="The Solution" tab_id="1508250369051-4a626d72-344d"][vc_column_text]In close collaboration, additional data sources of the respective ticket systems were connected iteratively and already existing midget solutions were integrated into an established QlikView® application. In this way, the data sources were supplemented with options to introduce treshold values for key performance indicators (KPIs) or filters for the base stock of the evaluation. Additionally, opportunities were created to integrate distinct labor information of the respective field. These include, for example, individual case decisions by the superior management or simple labor notes of the responsible managers of the sub-fields. The extended QlikView® application contains analysis and display options of existing KPI dashboards. These include i.a. time series analyses, trend reports as well as detailed analyses of individual tickets from different perspectives.[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title="The Result" tab_id="1508252697978-ef0a40d1-ea09"][vc_column_text]This solution created a consistent and extensive platform, which provides a fast and informative view on the condition of the provided support. This enables a rapid detection of foci, a clear presentation of responsibilities and dependencies as well as their impact on the whole process. Furthermore, the necessary conditions to easily capture and communicate the SLAs towards the customers were created. With this solution, forecast processes for i.a. change and capacity management are easy to display. The Service and Demand Management department (SDM) deals with the estimation of required resources and capacities to optimize the staff planning and other areas of responsibility. In the course of that, they regularly consolidate planning and actual data from various sources (usually Excel and CSV based ones), which are all transferred into Access databases in a CSV format. For later analysis and processing purposes, Excel spreadsheets are extracted from Access again. It implies a considerable effort of time and personnel to filter out specific operating numbers from these extensive and complex tables.
