The JSON proxy server is a Java based program of TIQ Solutions. It converts any JSON data into XML format from various sources such as RESTful web APIs, NoSQL databases or JSON files. The converted XML data stream can be used as a web file source in reporting and analysis applications that do not support JSON format (such as QlikView). The licensed version supports all major 1.0a and 2.0 OAuth APIs out-of-the-box (Google, Facebook, Yahoo, LinkedIn, Twitter, Foursquare, Evernote, Vimeo, Yammer, Windows Live, …).
The queries to the JSON proxy servers and their parametrizations take place as URL. All query results are cached by the JSON proxy server while it is running. The cache can be cleared by parameter. This is very useful to load multiple tables from an XML result consistently. It also saves API calls in the use of the RESTful web APIs to prevent that API limits are exceeded.
JSON Proxy Server Package
The JSON proxy server package contains some example of QlikView applications that demonstrate the use of it. This solution enables web data for new applications and use cases in an enterprise reporting or analytics environment.
